The Wednesday June 24, 2009 Special Town Meeting has been cancelled.
ATTN: A Special Town Meeting will be held on Wednesday June 24, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lynnfield Middle School. The last day to register to vote for the Special Town Meeting will be Monday June 15, 2009. The Town Clerk's Office will be open until 8:00 pm for voter registration.
According to the Lynnfield Town Charter Chapter 2, Section 3-1 & Section 3-2:
"The Town Meeting shall meet regularly on the last Monday evening in April to consider and adopt an annual operating and capital budget, and to act on other financial matters. The meeting shall be continued on other days, until all articles in the warrant shall have been acted on."
The Town Meeting will be held on April 27, 2009. The last day to register to vote for the Town Meeting is Tuesday, April 7, 2009. The Town Clerk's Office will be open until 8:00 pm for voter registration.
"The Town Meeting shall also meet regularly on the third Monday evening in October to consider and act on matters of planning, zoning, subdivision control, building codes and all other matters of a By-law nature, involving an appropriation of town funds, as may properly come before the meeting. the meeting shall be continued on other days, until all articles in the warrant have been acted upon."
The fall Town Meeting will be held on October 19, 2009. The last day to register to vote for the fall Town Meeting is Wednesday, September 30, 2009. The Town Clerk's Office will be open until 8:00 pm for voter registration.
